On June 9, 2017, Gemma New conducted world-renowned actress Jane Lynch and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for a musical and comedic experience called Jane Lynch sings The Great American Songbook*
Said Jane Lynch of the experience: “I just sang with the St. Louis Symphony and that was my first symphony gig and it was just me for two acts. It was exhausting and nerve-wracking but it was one of the most transcendent experiences of my life to have that world-renowned orchestra behind me, under the direction of Gemma New, this amazing conductor.”
